Welcome and thank you for your interest in Taverham High School
Taverham is a popular and successful 11-18 mixed comprehensive school in Norwich. We became part of the Enrich Learning Trust Family of schools in February 2024 and have approximately 1250 students on roll, over 150 members of staff and an annual budget in the region of £9 million.
Academically, we are consistently one of the top ten attaining schools in the county, and almost all of our students continue their studies or go into purposeful employment when they leave our school.
In our most recent Ofsted report the inspectors made the summary judgement that the school continues to be good. Ofsted have recognised that the school has a 'caring, nurturing ethos and a culture of high achievement which is based firmly on the excellent relations promoted between students and staff.'
Extra-curricular activities are an important part of school life. There are extremely strong musical and sporting traditions, but we are also proud to be involved in projects with local schools; with schools nationally; and with schools abroad, most notably in France, Germany and China.
The Local Academy Committee hosts a wealth and knowledge from both the world of education and beyond and is reflective of our community.
Applicants are encouraged to visit the school to experience the great learning environment we have created.
